MonSEO is designed to inspect websites without turning your sites, clients or work into our dataset.

What MonSEO stores

MonSEO stores your site list, scan results, scan archives, notes, imported CSV data, settings, reports and optional research results locally on your Mac. Monsieurs Made does not operate a MonSEO account system, analytics service, telemetry service or cloud database that receives this content.

Website scans

You enter a public URL and explicitly start a scan. MonSEO retrieves public website content using read-only GET and HEAD requests. It records public URLs, page text, metadata, headers, link and resource observations and bounded technical measurements to create the requested report. Competitor quick scans use the same public, read-only model. MonSEO does not submit forms, authenticate to websites or modify them.

Local files and Search Console exports

Search Console and generic analytics files are selected by you and imported locally. MonSEO does not connect to your Google account. Exports, backups and branded reports are created only when you request them and are saved to a location you choose.

Optional OpenAI or Google Gemini requests

AI features are optional and use an API key supplied by you. MonSEO shows a bounded preview before page context or confirmed profile facts are sent to the selected provider. A request starts only after your explicit action. Provider-side processing, retention and account linkage are governed by your agreement and settings with that provider. API keys are protected with macOS-backed encryption and are excluded from renderer state, exports, backups, screenshots and logs.

Direct purchases and licence activation

Direct checkout, order handling and licence keys are provided by Lemon Squeezy, the merchant of record. When you activate, validate or deactivate a direct licence, MonSEO sends the licence key, Lemon Squeezy instance identifier and a friendly computer name to Lemon Squeezy. It does not send scanned pages, imported metrics, reports, hardware serial numbers, MAC addresses or an invasive hardware fingerprint.

Mac App Store edition

The Mac App Store edition contains no Lemon Squeezy licensing. Apple handles the purchase, installation and updates under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. Any platform diagnostics depend on your Apple settings and are separate from MonSEO’s local scan storage.

Website hosting

This website is hosted by Netlify. Like other hosting providers, Netlify may process IP addresses and technical request information to deliver and secure the site. We do not add advertising pixels or behavioural analytics to the MonSEO pages. Direct checkout is hosted by Lemon Squeezy.

Retention and deletion

Local MonSEO data remains on your Mac until you remove a site or the application data. You can delete local site data inside MonSEO and remove the application’s local container through macOS. Monsieurs Made cannot remotely access or delete data that never left your Mac. For purchase or support data held by Lemon Squeezy, Apple or an AI provider, use that provider’s controls or contact them under their policies.

Your choices

You can use the core audit without optional AI. You decide which public sites to scan, which local files to import, when to export a report and whether to activate a direct licence. Stop a scan at any time or remove local records from MonSEO.
